btw you probably shouldnt have those cables tied together up front there, they should be anchored somewhat on the drivers side but remember they flex when each one is acuated and being tied so tight on each other could affect each others operation. Example is your accelerator cable moving every time you push in the clutch.
I can tell you live in GA looking at the air filter, the humidity has taken its toll on the paper.

yeah bro, it does get cold and like today.. it was fairly warm..LOL but i hope i can still do it.. ugh..lol but that muffler like i told pico, it sounds good as hell BUT its a bit loud but i did notice i did feel some power coming with it.. everyone likes it around here..oh and thanks about the pictures.. maybe one day we can meet up and ill do some for you.. ha

As for the lip, there's actually a bunch of options out there for you. 1G, v1 teg lips are sweet, and real easy to put on. 1G CRX si (good luck finding one) is a great looking setup, but you'll need two of them to make one good one for your car. Volvo is another option, as is an older 626, but those both need two lips to make one good one as well.

yup i wanted to do the top hat... but uh yes i did all the body work and painting myself.. well my dad and i.. we have a paint booth actually, it has climate controls and a full paint suite with oxygen.. :D

Offering help on any thread is great, but trying to sell someone something that they didn't even ask for, in a thread created and geared toward showing pics of someone's car, is not the place. That's what PM is for.

86 --> Clearly you're interested in making, and keeping your 3G looking good. That's very evident by this repaint, and the pride in posting up the pics. I wish I had the time and resources to do something like this too, and to make it look as good as you have already, nevermind what it'll look like after the cut&buff. If you are interested in a drop, and doing it right, check out the suspension section. Without going into detail, if you want those sprints, be prepared to drop a hefty sum of cash (north of $800) for a set of struts that are built to handle those safely and effectively. Not trying to discourage you in any way, just keeping it real with what to expect to spend.

Also i heads up, i know i just painted my car..but i decided to re do it... they just was not up to par with my standards.. it looks fine, just like it rolled out the factory, BUT it looked silver when it hit the sun light and thats not what i want so im going to tint the primer and spray a few more coats of the blue down and get it a bit darker.. :D so ill be doing that this weekend.

also im going to be painting my exterior side pillars black and putting my trim on. and doing my suspension when mushroom toy gets back with me about the springs.. :D

took a hella long time.. i took the doors panels apart and cleaned the crap outta them then sprayed Duplicolor Plastic and Vinyl l on it. turned out real well.. but before i put the panels on.. i sprayed Under body coating for some sound deadening.. :D

I couldnt even imagine how bad you want it back haha it was clean! and all that work! wish i was around while you were in the process woulda been fun to watch but it was kewl to look through it all, hey since you mentioned it i do have a few questions... your engine looks dif then mine was yours an lxi? from what i thought they are the same car but just looks a lil dif i think my question is i was trying to install a short ram intake and there are a total of 4 hoses that need to be disconnected from the stock intake but when i disconnect and plugg the hoses the car starts and stays running as long as i give it gas but if i dont it slowly starts to choke and then just shuts off, any idea what i could be doing wrong? do i need to some how get those hoses in the new intake too?

No, I got it from a guy named Jose from Rome, GA. He claimed that he painted it etc. (He originally wanted 3500 for it) :rofl: ended up buying it for 2500 including the new wheels. Good deal considering I see the original asking price from 86ccord was 2000. It's a great car for the most part. She still needs a few tweeks here and there but over all it's amazing to see what it started from, to present day.

yeah, that guy jose i'd believe the fact that he said he painted it an did all the work. bull shit. ive got the build thread and all to prove it. LOL! and that del sol he traded me was a fuckin turd. but its all good. i dont regret it or anything in general. everything is fixable. if i want to build another accord, ill buy one and build it the same way again! the only reason why i put it up for sale it was just simply time to move on. Enjoy the 3g man! keep in touch with it!

yeah, there was a squeak coming from the right side. The strut (KYB claims it was stock replacement) i put in there was much bigger than stock and when the suspension coil spring compresses and expands it hits the side of the strut which causes it to have a squeak/rattle noise. Back when i had it i would always jack the car up rub some automotive grease on the strut and it would temporarily fix the noise.

Thanks man, i spent a lot of time and effort on that car! i sold it for around 32.. hahah! :flash:
