I'm starting to part my car out for sure now. This will begin this Sunday, Turabaka is going to come down and help me probably. To all my friends on 3geez.com, thanks for all your help and being there for me. My plans are to pay off some bills and get a 4 door 3gee later down the road. I just don't have time to dink around with this project anymore, between work,my led business, and my family.



I will begin to part my car out and put most of it on ebay. I have a list that goes for miles.

Damn, $100 for your 5speed tranny sounds like a hell of a deal....but im not local and im sure shipping would be a royal pain... My next big plan on my 3gee after getting the little bits fixed up is either a 5 speed swap or shocks and lowering springs...whichever comes first. At the moment im not much for $$$ tho :(

If he gets a crate for the tranny, and possibly a flat rate for shipping, he can throw the tranny and some of the heavier stuff in there.

ive shipped a few transmissions and they typically run about 80 bucks on ups anywhere I ve sent them. Find a big sturdy box and ship it out wrapped in plastic so the oil doesnt get out

edit- Unless your willing to hold onto the transmission...every gear works in it right? ive seen some members having a lot of problems killing gears in them. Also hold onto the linkage, and everything else i would need for the swap... I dunno how much room all that will take up, how big are 3gee trannies anyway?

why don't you just buy a hatch? putting parts onto a shell would be a pain in the ass. unless you wanted a gutted car forever. On a happy note though. It's easy as hell to take apart, and apparently if you're smart you can fit one hatch inside of another hatch. lol.

sad to see it go, but it's nice to know that the bitesize mobile will live on in my car. Considering I had a significant portion of your car fitting inside mine. lol. next week is spring break. So I'm gonna try to get a lot of those parts installed. Tinted windows, door panels, possibly power windows and mirrors, disc brakes, and speakers. I think for the hatch window I'll just take the trim off of my hatch and put it on the hatch you gave me and install that one. Even though the color doesn't match it's in better condition than mine.
