Well, I figure I will make an introduction.
4 Months over 18, and been into cars for close to 17 ;)
I'm not a newbie to speed, though.
In my collection, I hold a 1973 Super Sport Chevy Nova called "Agent Orange" (my dad was in Vietnam), which my Dad gave to me after he backed into it going to work. It had a built 283 (he put like $5500 easy in the motor) in it when I got it, but it was not happy to turn over. So I bought a 327 and dropped it in there along with the Edelbroc High performance intake manifold and a Holley 650 Double Pumper, and attacted it to a Staganof(SP?) aftermarket 4 speed tranny. Compared to my Honda.... I can't compare. I never got to track test my Nova, but it will keep you WELL in the seat untill 4th gear. I clocked 0-60 in a little under 5 seconds, and I counted around 13 seconds at a known 1/4 mile.
I've been under a car since I was 10, helping my dad build his Suzuki Samurai, and building my own Samurai (seen in my pic).
On to my Honda.
It is an 87 LX or DX (don't know because the emblems were shaved before I got it. that my brother gave me because he was moving. But It seriously needs a paint job. It's straight and has very little dents.
It has an A20A1 in it, and I have already put an Accel coil and header back exhaust on it, and it seems to run fairly strong. It's got 215,000 miles on it, but the motor has 150lbs of compression in all 4! I also counted around 17 1/2 seconds at the same 1/4 mile, and I counted a little fast. I want to get it at least in the mid 16's, and I hope you guys can help.
Also something I forgot to mention. I worked at a Car audio shop for a little over 3 months, but after I put a screw trough someones gas tank, they didn't need me anymore :(
But the current setup I have in my car isn't my loudest, but still hurts people.
If anyone needs specialty box designs, I have a very high success rate with 4th and 6th order Bandpasses, and my ported boxes are the IsH!
