good to see pics of progress, you are going to love it !

I need a grill, I cant find an 86-7 grill that has the two CF pieces not cracked. Looks like I will have to make up something for those.

Are you gonna do a full exhaust from the header to the back?

No, but I might make some covers with the mesh like you did.

Are you gonna do a full exhaust from the header to the back?

Yeah, just 2" that came with my Pacesetter header. Going 2" to my polished "test pipe" then going with 2.25" back to the Magna-flow muffler which is going to have a nice tip on it.
Anyhow, this is my header I got sandblasted. I'm not trying to send it for coating for what it's worth, just going with 1500 temp exhaust paint.

I got the weber on today, but not finished. One of old studs wouldn't come out, had to drill out the bolt & heli-coil it. (my pic is a little grainy)

This is the best money I spent on this car. I found out that I needed a fuel pressure regulator after scratching my head for about 30 minutes. For some reason my stock fuel pump was putting out to much pressure for the weber to handle. I still need to tweek on the carb some more with the throttle linkage & tuning. Overall, it blows the stock p.o.s. carb away.
My camera flash takes out some of the quality, I'll get some better pics & update these pics later.

Thanks Roger, the sound of the exhaust is different that what I expected in some of the higher RPM range. I still would like to get a mild grind cam & install the adjustable cam gear one day. These weber carbs definitely need the exhaust opened up IMO. Other than that, I'm happy with the results.

Here is more pics of the exhaust, along with some work I done today. I work at a full automotive shop & bent a 10' stick of pipe. All I had to add was about 9 or 10 inches..... The pipe is 2 1/4" from the high flow cat back. I also had my head gasket go to shit. DON't USE A TOPLINE HEAD GASKET that comes with their rebuild kit!!!!! There is a pic of notching out the hood for my breather & re-routing the throttle linkage. I also installed my adjustable cam gear. Enjoy.

Thanks LewZur. Here is one last shot of the flex pipe...

Yeah Jesse, it's fairly loud when the RPM's get up. It's not real loud, but you can hear it. I like flow, so I wasn't really worried about the sound. It took some time to get used too......
At cruising speeds, the sound it's ok. I'm not computer savy or I would make a video of how it sounds. I have a straight pipe ran through my high flow cat. (It's basically there for inspection & the cops if I get pulled over)
I haven't really showed a pic of my car, so here is what it looks like. I still need to paint the deck lid.

I want to say THANKS EVERYONE for the compliments!!!!

stat1K- I haven't taken it to the track, there isn't one around these neck of the woods. It's a huge improvement over STOCK!
If I had posi track, it would be great. I didn't port & polish the head or it would be more to my tune. I didn't do that when I rebiult the engine & didn't have the time... The engine is bored out .040 over... I still need to get a mild grind cam, MSD coil & ram air filter...(that one is temporary)

I also need to tweek a little on the timing some more with the adjustable cam.... I slapped it on & didn't have the bolts tightened up all the way, so it's off to what I'm looking for on the "sweet spot".......
