door handles

does anyone know if the handles off any 86-89 will fit my exi.the key only fits the pass door and ign.so i need to change locks so i can use one key for everything.i think its easier to change door handles instead of just locks.oh i have a coupe if that makes a difference.

i got some handles from majestic honda and swapped the locks myself. they were a pain to get outta the old handles

do what i'm doing, use the rear ones from the 4 door,and do electric locks from the remote,gets rid of the key holes. just use a backup system in case your battery goes dead.

you can use a rear door handle, however the trick is to get the opposite door.
i.e. if you want to replace your front right door handle you need a rear left handle from a sedan... they should be the same size on a coupe.
also the locks are not hard to disassemble on these cars, you can re-pin it fairly easily with some junkyard locks but definately the handle swap would be easier if color matching is not a priority.

yeah i used rear door handles on the front of my car.

i also used rear door handles to shave the key holes.
rear door handles are actually universal and can be used on any side in the front you just have to swap something from one side to the other

door handle, yea.. lock, no. i went to a jy and pulled a handle for my passenger side front door, the handle fit, but the lock was totally different. so i HAD to keep that lock in it cuz they werent swappable.

so should i look for a coupe in the j/y for handles with locks and keys or any style will work.

i would look for a handle that has the EXACT same locking mechanism as urs...
