I've been thinking about buying another car but I'm not sure what. Now before everyone suggest something I want to point out that.

A. Trying not to spend too much. (2k or lower)
B. Mod-friendly
C. Looking for decent HP, might even say I want a V6
D. Car has to at least get 25MPG City
E. Hatch/Coupe is a must.

But yeah, some kind of import car within the year of 97+ or as long as it has OBD II on it. I don't really mind if body needs work or if it has mechanical problems. As long as it runs and can pass CA Smog test I'm good.

If you're clueless thats cool. However I would love to hear some suggestions on what kind of car I should buy.

All in all... LOL I need luck. I know finding such a car for 2k is hard but man its possible. I once met a guy who found and bought a 01' Dodge Neon for $1k. Never know.

good luck with that, lol
these 2 grand cars that get 25 mpg city are bringing top dollar in decent condition. YOu can pick them up cheap though needing heads and head gaskets and such.
I would say civic 92-95, on the domestic side maybe a 96 beretta (obd 2) nothing older though. If you said 25 mpg highway it would open up more options, lol..

Hey guys, I need some advice.

I found this car, Acura Integra '92 with modded exhaust/CAI for
$1000

Problem is.. its an out-of-state car with expired tags. So I need to renew the tags... Orginally its from Kansas but what I want to know is it possible to have it registered in CA somehow? Or do I have to drive all the way to Kansas and try to renew it or something? Hah. This car has to pass the damn smog test thing and stuff.

I tried calling the DMV but its busy, I'll try again eventually but in the meantime.... Thoughts?

Is it worth the trouble? It looks alright.. Are there any other questions I should ask? Thanks guys for your help! :)

When I got my truck from ohio(im in indiana). I had to have police come check the VIN number on it and once they ok'd that, I was able to go to BMV and register it. It had no tags when I bought it.
