I'm pretty sure that the ES and ET headers will fit your motor just fine. Like the 2g Prelude factory 4-2-1 header or the A20A3 4-2-1 header... Hell, I put a header from an A20 on my ES2 engine.

Do a little research on "A-series engines". Exhaust from any of these engines will interchange, some being better than others. Consider that ES, EZ and ET engines are all built on the A series platform. North american Accords 1984-1989 all used A series engines, as well as 1983-1987 Preludes. Any aftermarket header from these years and models will interchange, with exception to minor details like EGR and O2 sensors.

Ahem... I do believe the A series is built on the ES, EZ, and ET engines. :D

There may be a difference though beteween the length on the downpipe. To get the DC header onto the stock exhuast on the 2g Accord, cutting and welding needed to happen. But fuck, do you really wanna header on the stock exhaust? *Hides pictures of 1g Accord with header and stock exhuast*

carefull with the terminology, a header typically is a tubular type exhaust manifold, usually steel.
Exhaust manifolds, most of what comes factory, are cast pieces with tubular down pipes bolted to them. And yes some of those cast pieces are designed to flow pretty good.
Also there are some factory tubular type manifolds such as one on the F22 Accord EX

does anyone know of some pictures or DETAILED instructions of what it takes to make a 3rd gen prelude B20xx header fit B20A jdm? I know about a hole needing rat tailed out but which hole and do the ports match up good?

Wouldn't the head, and hence the ports, be the same on all B20Ax's? Be it EDM 3g, JDM 3g or Lude... That's what I thought atleast.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong.

not absolutely sure

How close is the H22 or H23 to these? I know that thegreatdane used one but I am not sure how much it was modified to fit.
I was looking at cast manifolds in the JY on B21, B20xx USDM and they look like they are designed like a tuned header. I don't know how they would fit on an Accord B20A though.
I am not having much luck finding a header other than ordering a brand new one only to have the downpipe not fit.

Find a used header on e-bay, I see people selling used headers or companies selling inventory that they have laying around and want to get rid of... look for "Gude" "DC Sports" "Lightspeed" "Pacesetter" or an "S&S" header for the "A series" A20 A18.

a more detailed list of headers are here

and here is my megan racing header if you want to go that route.
not recommended on lowered cars though.

ive got the es2 with the 3 barrel carb in my pet 85 accord hatch.... my end goal is to swap in a twin cam head along with its intake manifold and fuel injection... but in the mean time i want to swap in some tuned cast headers. im trying to find out what my options are and what people have had success with im not worried about making the down pipe fit

You're going to need to swap in a block that goes with that dual cam head. It's possible to mate a dual cam head to an ES motor, but plan on either buying a ton of equipment or spending tens of thousands of dollars on machine time in a machine shop to make it happen. The last guy to try it out fell off the face of the earth not long after giving it a go. He had a machine shop at his disposal and he still couldn't get it done.

even if you put a head on a es block the bore and stroke ratio is not ment for revving more than 8k
