Hello everyone I have a very simple question.

On my engine there is a pipe coming off of the air filter housing. There is another smaller pipe coming off of it (just above the battery). What is this second pipe connected to? On mine it is not connected to anything.

Thanks,
Chris

if I remember right thats supposed to allow a little bit of air into the system. some correct me if i'm wrong.
Ditch the factory setup and go with a short ram or a CAI

They also work as silencers for intake noises

umk, so it is not supposed to be connected to anything.

Thanks for the help, I tend to take a second look at hoses, pipes, etc that is not connected at both ends.

I am checking into the homemade cold air intake now. I think I am going to set it up.

thats the best and only way to do it

Where can I get the bypass valve? I am looking at a link that I pulled off of a search

http://www.teamdelsol.com/technical/howto/coldAirIntake/default.html

They do not mention the bypass valve, where can I get one and where does it go?

Thanks,
Chris

I got a AEM one off of ebay, you just have to measure your pipe diameter

Actually that is the post where I got the other link (it is linked within the first post). Neither tutorial had the bypass valve. Pico set me strait though.

Thanks
