Killed a transmission

Well killed my first transmission. I broke off two teeth completely and chipped 9 others in 2nd gear. If any one has a good main shaft that you want to sell I want to buy it. I plan on rebuilding this transmission if I can get one. I'm going to call OPM to see if they still make a LSD for our differential and install one if they do. I already grabbed a tranny from the local PicknPull with 211 thousand on it and installed it. They had a 2nd gen manual tranny with 136,XXX on it but i wasn't sure if it would fit when i was out there and didn't have any time to waste if it wouldn't work. So i played it safe and went with the one that i knew would.

I found all of the pieces but one of the chips off of the larger gear.

i rebuilt my trans also but with integra gears.....how much will the LSD set you? im interested cuz i hate how it only does one legged burn outs.....i just want traction

I'm running about 7-8psi. I haven't put it on a dyno since i turboed it. When i was running 5psi i stayed even with a civic hatch with a built b series motor that was putting down 178hp and 170tq so i figure i'm putting down about 200hp since the accord is heavier.

yeah i think i have them in a box some where....the only diff is that differential is fuel injected

You willing to sell the gears/shafts, I don't need the differential unless you won't sell the rest with out it. I want a spare tranny but don't have the time to go pull another one in questionable condition (since there was only one other at the yard). So if your willing to sell the gears PM me and we can work out a deal.

Well I emailed OPM (http://www.opmautosports.com/) about the limited slip so hopefully I'll get a reply in the next couple of days.

Well got the email back from OPM about the LSD. It is $700 +S&H. They also said that they also have other parts available so i asked them if the could list them and I would see about turning up some business from here.

If I have time, I'll see about yanking out the mainshaft & countershaft I have, what do you need, 2nd gear? Only thing bad is the sychronizer for 3-4 th.

I need the mainshaft and 2nd gear, but i'll buy both shafts w/gears if you want to sell them.

I didn't forget, I just haven't had time. One weekend was spent under the hood putting the weber on & I took last weekend off from turning wrenches.

No rush. I just sent payment for the lsd on Monday. In the next month would be nice if you have time. I was just checking to see if either one of you had time to check since I know you've probably been busy like me.

Yes, they carry a lsd for our cars. They also have coil overs. I just sent the payment on Monday so i haven't received the part yet. Here is OPM's web site. http://www.opmautosports.com/ I just emailed them asking about the lsd. The total came out to be $764. I'll post pics when i get the part.

It was $760 USD and some change. But their price is $700 + S&H so it may be more for other people. I live pretty close, I received the package the next day after they sent it.

Hows the workmanship? Is it installed already?

I haven't really sat down and inspected it yet, but the part looked like two aluminum blocks with 4 yellow springs inside it on the corners. I haven't installed it yet. The differential needs new bearings on it they don't install new ones when they assemble the unit.
