i have dual 12" mtx 6000's and am going to be getting a box soon. probably from ebay. does exact size really matter like 12" 5/8"?

:confused: I guess I don't understand the question. Exact size of what? The hole in the box? For 12" subs, the cut out hole is normally 11" or so. More info please!

if u can get a box at a store near urself, it might be cheaper. after shippin and shit. and at a shop, u can talk em down some. if the carpet falls off, just bring it back and they fix it! thats just my 2 cents!

I really wouldn't recommend a prefab box.....they aren't designed with different types of speakers in mind. You could get OK sound out of them but going to your local audio store and having one custom made is your best option. 5/8" should be fine.

prefab boxes suck, they are made out of particle board(very poreus) and are stapled together and sealed with caulk, make your own using mdf
