yeah i think only the dx coupe that was red came with the all black interior. some came with half black half tan

actually it's the red DX hatches that had the all black interior. I have one, and the paint looks pinkish orange nowadays. bleh.

i just saw a red coupe with the pinkish paintjob...i was going to take a pic but it was way too dark to get anything.

the best you can do is the 89 sei coupe with the dark grey leather and black plastics. Thats what i did. pretty rare to get a whole interior but worth the look and luxury.

^^ Ya there is an sei coupe for sale locally that i just saw. Its a salvage car, but interior looks to be in good shape, nice and black interior.

yep you're right messy. I just checked the wiki, and it seems that it was 89 DX coupes had red paint with black interior. The only other with black interior was 88 DX hatchback. personally I'd just go with the black/tan interior. That one looks pretty good IMHO, and it's much easier to find.

well that all depends on the exerior color of the car. Tan doesnt jive with every color honda released and the tan gets old or did for me rather quick.

^^ Canada must have received some other options because I have seen a couple black coupes now with black interior, and no they weren't repainted... got a pic on my cell too.

thats the same color i have.. i got the half black on top and tan on the bottom but my tan is all full of stains and things what is the best thing to use for say painting or dying the tan on the door panels because the bottom of the door panel is fabric what should i do with that???

like the guys said above, in the states, the only black interiors available were in the '89 Phoenix Red DX Coupe, and the '88 Phoenix Red DX Hatch. Aside from that, the SE-i Coupes did come with a damn-near black leather.

Actually, there's a guy in Shelton, CT that I had been trying to get ahold of for about a month now that has an '89 Red DX Coupe for only something like $700, but so far i've had no luck geeting in touch with him.

i wish i could get the interior out of that my tan and black is so beat and the tan is sooo far stained its not even worth the time to try and clean it just replace it thats all and black you dont have to as much time to clean it as you would the tan
