So last night I was at my usual local saturday night meet. I was walking around with a few friends and happened to see a(riced out complete with nothing but carbon fiber projector headlights =P) 91 Integra LS with the front lip Ive been searching for FOREVER.

I mentioned to a friend how badly I wanted it and he just walks up to the guy and asks if he'll sell it to me. The guy cheerfully says yes and proceeds to take off is front lip in the parking lot!

Got it for a whole 20$. ftw.

Now I need time to install it lol, and for some reason I cant find the damn thread that has the DIY on the install. I know I've come across is before.

But anyway, hooray for nice people!

Its definitely seen its fair share of curbs, but nothing a scotch brite pad and flat black cant cure!

i think you got the wrong lip... the lip that bolts right up is the 1st gen teggy lip, thats a 2nd gen

It still fits perfectly, it just needs a little trimmed off by the wheels wells. Either way, they both don't bolt right up haha, I guess Ill have to do a writeup for the second gen lip cause it looks sick on the car

if that the case i guess it will be time to start looking for aftermarket ones
what year was the 2nd gen teg made

'90-93

It really fits nice on the bumper too, I was surprised when I had some friends hold it up to it. It only needs an inch off each side by each wheel well.

As soon as I get it installed Ill have pics to confirm.

The 90-91 teg front lip is different than the 92-93. The 90-91 lip WON"t fit 88/89 Accord front bumpers as it is too short. But I could see it fitting your 87 or an 86.

The 92-93 teg front lip is longer though, so it may fit 88/89 front bumpers... Nicest lip for those cars I have seen that is aftermarket is the JDP front lip.... for both 90-91 and 92-93 tegs.

Yeah I have an 87, and it has an extra inch by each wheel well. Im not sure what year his integra was, I know it was a DA between 90-93. Ill confirm next time I see him.

Looks good.
with a little bit of modification it should blend right in

Hopefully so!

Whats nice about this lip is I don't need spacers for anywhere except the 2 bolts Ill use by the wheel wells. Everything else lines up flush.

Hopefully Ill get the install done tomorrow. Debating whether I am gonna take off my front bumper for it or not.

thanks :) i used an 89 RS teg lip and I have an 89 bumper.

and listen to pico he's installed like 3+ lips now including helping me with mine :D it's only a few bolts to remove the bumper anyways.. beats crawling around under the car with a power drill lol

Ya that looks like the 90-91 teg lip... i took one off at pick n pull a couple weeks ago and tried fitting it to a 3g, was much too short for the 88-89 bumper though.

Looks great on your bumper though... and I agree with frantik, take the bumper off for sure... lying on the ground sucks haha.

haha yeah I'm gonna pull the sucker off. Need to get the experience anyway, gotta do the CAI soon.

I'm excited, I'm off tomorrow so let the installation commence.

I was debating putting it on jackstands and doing it or just taking the bumper off, but off the bumper is gonna come. I'm gonna install if before I refinish it though sadly, don't have the $$ for paint supplies till thursday </3 But it'll come right off and be brought back to its OEM beauty asap. Ill have pics up within minutes of completion, stay tuned 3geez

The wait is over! Confirmation that a DA Integra front lip not only fits well, but looks beautiful on a 3g. I love it, it came out very nice and I recommend it for all of you  All it required was trimming of about an inch by each wheel well.

Well guys.. Went up to a mountain road yesterday to test out the suspension on my day off school/work, and ended up understeering my way into a ditch. Not only did I rip my new front lip off and fuck up my perfect paint, I pretty much bent every component in my drivers side wheel well. Luckilly Ive already located a donor LXi in great condition right here in austin, but it still isnt gonna be cheap.. Ate up my rim and tire as well(so glad I didnt hurt my brakes or anything)

Also I think I blew a seal in my master cylinder cause I slammed on the brakes so hard. I'm still upset about it, I should be at school right now but thinking about it kept me up all night and now Im up way late.

She'll back in business soon.. At least rolling and driving by next week. I dont know when the paint will be taken care of. Hopefully as soon as I get her rolling again. No more trying to be Takumi I guess(lol) Though everyone mistakes my car for an 86 =P

Well, the title I lucked out is very suitable for this post:

I found an 88 LXI sedan today which is in as good as shape as mine but with 100k less miles and a blown motor. I bought it for 400$ and have everything I need and more. I get all the interior pieces I ever dreamed of(CD holder, stock deck, misc. cracked plastic parts) LXi rims with new Kumho ecstas, and so much more. I got quoted 700$ in labor to replace my axle, lower control arm, torsion rod, and kinked crossmember. The process will begin this weekend, wish me luck guys. Ill have pics soon. I walked away with no damage to my body, and no damage to my car's body except some deep scratches in my bumper which I sanded down/primed tonight. Everything will work out hopefully, Im not giving up on my baby.
