guys i need your help !
i have searched everywhere can't find honda power steering fluid anywhere !!!

so my question is what to use :

MOBIL ATF
SHELL ATF
ESSO PS FLUID
ESSO ATF

pleeeeeeeeease don't suggest other brands while these are the ones available here ( i live in egypt now ) !

have you checked what it would cost to ship the real stuff there? everytime i asked about a PS leak at a shop their first question was 'did you use honda PSF?'. it sounds like it's really important to prevent future problems.

shipping will cost me a lot about 25 $ for each honda PSF bottle ! and i need at least 3 bottles !

ok the manual says Honda power steering fluid.
i am sure sending 3 bottles to egypt won't cost $25. may be if you send by air.
mike, don't you guys have honda dealers in egypt?
if you want i can try to send you a few bottles.

no we are back off topic ! :(

thanx alex , but a bottle will cost 25 $ shipping while it's 1 kg ! and a lot of sites don't ship oils internationally !
we have honda dealers in egypt and they don't have the oil either ( those mother fuckers ............... )

thanx again ! but i am really looking for alternatives ! because right now i have a very small leak at the rack and pinion seals so i was thinking of draining the system and refilling it so i can add the same oil everytime till it leaks badly then i have to change the seals !

Do you have walmart in egypt???
Because here in canada they have Bardalh PS fluid for acura and honda. I always use this stuff and its very cheap.

Do not use anything but PS fluid that says it is for Hondas. They carry it at just about every major automotive chain store. It does not have to come from Honda, but it does have to say it is for Hondas. Even if you have to pay $2,500 for shipping per bottle it's still cheaper than replacing the rack.

Regular PS fluid will cause seals to leak. This is not an "if," but a when.

what the? they sell them here in small bottles. i am not sure how much do you need.
so egypt doesn't have any honda dealers with power steering oil. what do they use?

Ha, ha. I just noticed that I said $2,500! Obviously, I was repeating your quote of $25.

I just wanted to stress to you the importance of not messing around with the PS fluid. I have seen the results odf using the wrong stuff (not in my car, though).

You should be able to order about three bottles and still come in at less than a kilo (2.2 pounds).
