So I've got the 15" wheels on now, and it's much better. Actually feels like the car is planted on the road lol

Next up, will be some Sprint springs. Which shocks do you guys recommend I get to go with them?

Also, working on upgrading the brakes from the stock '88 LX. The '88-'89 LXi had bigger from brakes than the '88 LX, right? I've got an '89 LXi in the local u-pull-it. Will I need the entire knuckle assembly?

After that, comes the rears. I've got a WTB post in the trading post section - I want some rear disc brakes (I HATE working with drum brakes!). At that point, new tires, and then my car will be mechanically 100% again!

As you can tell, I have some MASSIVELY worn out stock springs. I'm hoping the Sprint Springs will put it just below where it is now, but without the sponginess!

Tokicos, huh? I'm thinking I may just go with Bilsteins all the way around.

Yeah, but some searching on here is showing me that they tend to be rather soft out the box these days.

I'm still working on which springs I should go with. I see these $16 'coilover' sets on Ebay, and think they can't be worth a damn when they are that cheap!

How much is the shipping for the ebay coilovers though? I got some Bomz ones off Ebay and it was like 75 total.

Were the Bomz any good? I only need a 1-1.5" drop.

if you only need that much of a drop then stay away from coilovers. coilover springs are pretty stiff and if you do not have a re-valved strut the ride is shitty. with drop you are looking for go with the H&Rs. they seem to be soft but stiff enough for most people.

I was running tokico blues w/ ground controls and it was like being on a boat. i then went with the koni reds and ground controls and the ride was much better. now, i sent my koni reds out to koni and they made them yellows and I got a higher spring rates from ground control. ride is damn stiff. car does not squat upon acceleration and does not lean at all around turns.
