Besides really damn tight, what is the correct torque setting for the axle nut?? Is it 185 ft pounds??? Also, the nut itself-- the factory one looks like it has a "notch" in it to kinda "lock" it in place on the threads. The replacement nut from the Honda dealer obviously is not quite the same. Are those nuts punced or bent at the factory to prevent them from ever loosening?? Should we try to notch the new one after installing it or just torque it properly and not worry about it?? I'm pretty anal about these kinda things, so I like to get all the details, even though most shops wouldn't even replace the nuts or worry about torque settings...

it is actually 134ft. lbs.
yeah, you will have to punch it to make sure it doesn't get lose when you driving.

i just used big screw driver and heavy hammer. two hits and it is there.
you don't need to make it deep. just make it so it won't unscrew itself.
