It's been a bit of a process... but i decided to give her some fresh paint again after two years of new dents, scratches and just everyday abuse. Here are some pics of the progress. The paint is a lighter charcoal grey than before and is a stock 3g color actually, the code is nh 91m 3
yellow primer haha

The color of my car lol...brings tears to my eye, I cant wait to paint mine, and bask in its glory. Did you sand down to the metal before primer, or just sand then spray primer?

yes photo shoot is on the way. Give me a few more weeks i've been busy here with the 240 and a new job haha. The paint and primer, reducers, hardeners all together was about 200 but i have enough left to paint it again lol.

thanks dude and the funny thing about that is i had to give it back to my sister because her prelude is all put back together haha

Yeah the color is great honda always chooses some good colors. first we sanded with some 400 grit then to 1000 then finally to 1200. You don't have to sand down to the metal just make sure everything is smooth and degreased, then let the primer and glazing fill in all of the little scrathes and pit marks.

very nice. Is there a little metal flake in that paint too? ...when you painted over some of the bare plastic parts, did you do anything special to prep it, or just use the same primer as on the rest of the job?

yeah it has some flake in it haha :) we used the same primer as the rest, the first time we painted it we didn't even prime at all and you could see on some of the plastics where the paint wouldn't grab. So definitely use primer!

haha yeah, yeah give me dollars first lol
