View Full Version : Finally got the wideband on.

Idle is around 11.8-12.2, cruise is low 13s, WOT is 10.4s

Gonna drop 1 size in the main, 2 sizes on the secondary and go from there. The idle kind of trips me out - as the idle is smoother with the 75 idle jet, but my current AFRs are with a 70 idle jet.

Fun times :)

Just changed to a 75 idle, 135 primary, 140 secondary.

Idles ~12.8 (screwed the screw in some)
Cruises ~14.0
WOT ~11.5

Needs to be leaned out more :)

what are you other sizes, emulsion tubes? 75 seems kinda tall on the Primary idle jet, I dunno

seems like you'r getting pretty close...
i'd try bumping the timing a lil bit before you change the them out.

That's about perfect for idle. Cruise could be leaner but you'll probably get lean surge if you go past 16:1. I'm running at about 16.5:1 at cruise right now and I can feel it just starting to surge a little. 12.5:1 would be good for WOT. Also don't forget you can mess with the air corrector jets to tweak the high RPM mixture without affecting the mid range. A larger air corrector with lean out the mixture at higher RPMs.

130 pri, 135 secondary, 180 air correctors on both -

~13.5 idle
~15.0 cruise
~12.5 WOT

I'm going to drive it around a couple days. Then I'm going to go 175 primary air correctors, and 185 secondary air correctors, to see what happens :)

don't know! but trust me play with the timing too.
remember you are looking for the sweet spot on your motor...

175 pri air, 180 sec air, same jets as before, with a 70 idle jet now.

Weird, the lower I get the idle (down to 300-400 rpm) the richer the idle gets - but as I bring the idle back up, the idle leans out.

Idle: 12.0
Cruise: 14.7-14.9
WOT: 11.5

I need to lean the secondaries out more. 185 air correctors going in later.
