Hey bro, there actually standard bore size and I believe they have the same compression ratio as a stock piston setup. I actually bought a set that was .20 over for a carb motor I done for my buddy like 4 months ago and I didn't see any power gains, except the car actually ran afterwards cause his pistons were fried. But they've held up and he drives his car like he stole it, so they gotta be good pistons.

thanks for input maybe i can talk him into try to build some higher compression pistons

higher compression the more power you will make

yup these are the same pistons i put my motor... according to the shop i bouth them from, this is what Honda used as oem part. dunno how tru that is, but when i checked their website, i DO remember it sayin somethin about that too.
antways, they worked pretty good, but they are just an oem replacement, dont expect any super power gains or comp raises, unless ur motor is goin...

The dish looks deeper on those that the OEM ones I bought, but it's hard to tell from the top. Here's one of the OEM ones I bought:

The dish does look deeper from the pics on the auction, but who knows. cygnus or anyone else, can you measure the diameter of the piston? I'm curious to see how this stacks up against stock. Don't forget, the A3 (injected) models had a higher compression ratio than the carbed. Although it does show interchageability with all models (duh) I'm curious to know of these are stock A1 or A3 diameter. Damn good price though. btw, I love how these have 4 valve dimples, despite us only having 1 exhaust valve per cyl. Oh well.

The 2.0L pistons are all 82.7mm nominal diameter. Honda also sells a 0.3mm oversize piston but that's it. Any other size is an aftermarket part. I don't know if it's ever been absolutely proven but the story is that the A3 pistons have a shallower dish than the A1 pistons, resulting in a slightly higher compression ratio. If you check the Honda part numbers you will see that they do indeed have different numbers, although that doesn't prove that the dish is actually different. The CR difference could also be from the combustion chamber.

In the end though the difference is so small that it's negligible.
