DLR1989
I am the orginal owner of this 1989 Accord LXi Sedan. I drove the car off of the dealers lot in July of 1989 with 340 miles on it. It now has just over 89,000 miles. It is mostly stock except for audio and wheels and tires.
The only repairs, outside of normal maintinance have been two alternators, a drivers external door handle, tape deck, cruise control master switch and the car's one ongoing problem of 15 years, the air conditioning. The original AC compressor, a Kehin, was replaced with a Nippondenso conversion kit from Honda.
The car is going to under go a face lift and updates this year. You can see the first of those updates with new rims and tires. My plan is to keep any changes mild. I am, after all, now offically old enough (just turned 50) to be truely a geezer (or would that be a 3geez'r.) More updates will follow as time goes on.
Update: The planned body work has not happened due to a number of factors. Therefore the Xenon body kit, a spoiler, some minor body work and a paint job will have to wait until later.
The two older Accord Hatchs pictured were mine too. A 77 Hatch and 82 LX Hatch. Both are sadly long ago gone.
