clusters screwed

aright its been a long time but i finally did the rewiring on my car. Every thing works except for one damn thing, Before i did the rewireing it didnt work either. The cluster lights when i turn on the head lights the cluster doesnt turn on leaving me in the dark. Before i jimmy rigged it a bit buy putting a black light into the cluster and running the wires to ground and the head light fuse. I would like this to work the right way, I think it might be the illumination box im not sure. Also when i turn on the lights this happened before too the clock dims out and the cluster park netural etc doesnt light up. Please help

check your dimmer switch. i heard if you dont have a good one the lights wont turn on

sounds good, Whats the illumination box? its located under the dash on the drivers side, if you take off the panel theres a illum box on the back? Any how ill look and see if the dimmer switch is bad thanks MessyHonda.

i was just reading the color codes for the stereo my wiring harness is cut. I see theres a red/black wire thats for dimmer? where do i wire this i think this goes to the dimmer lights and its cut lol. Let me know,

the cut wire should be fine that just controls ur OEM radio lights
but yeah make sure the dimmer switch is contected and if it is conttected try replaceing it cuz if its broken or not contected the cluster wont light up
