How do you remove the oem shift knob?

I tried holding the stick from the silver ring and twisting the knob. but it seems to move all together.

so :wtf: how do you get this stupid knob off?!

pull the plastic silver ring straight down its clipped to the knob then u can unscrew it lol

the knob isn't stupid, the person failing to remove it is :P lol jk

just pull the silver thing downwards, should clip off the knob, then unscrew it

getcha out a danged ol hacksaw brother! Then use some of that GEN U WINE Duck Tape ta hold back on real classy n neat like!


Or, just pull down silver thing n unscrew, lol

Be careful pulling down on the silver ring as the clips on the shift knob itself can break off. Don't just yank the hell out of it but grab the ring and pull down.
