I got mine from Japan.

I'm not even sure it's available in North America. The B20A5 cap won't fit but the B20A5 distributor will fit without a problem.

Can't get them here, I've been trying for 2 weeks. Mines not even savable, It will only run on 4 cylinders some times, and when I took the cap off it looked like someone filled it up with sand. (white Florida sand not brown sand if it was brown bye bye distributor.) So I can run a b20a5 distributor with out any problems? Carot, any chance I can get these where you got yours?

I got mine through Honda in New Zealand.

You can swap the B20A5 distributor. I think the plug might be different but I'm not sure. The wires are the same color anyway.

The B20A5 distributor is the same internally. The top mounting ear "could" be different too but you can swap that out from a B20A5 too.

The advantage of using the B20A5 dizzy is that the parts are available locally.

I picked up a b20a5 distributer last night, the plugs are different, so im going to try to swap the insides instead of cutting the plug. My b20 distributer is still good so I dont want to cut it up.

Can't you just swap the wires inside the plug?

Are the blacktop distributor's different from the goldtop distributors? The distributor that came with my golttop has a square plug-in and the plug on the wiring harness that came with my blacktop has a round plug-in. .

The square plug is usually from a B20A5

I swaped the plug off my old a20 dizzy, and the car seems to run fine now with the b20a5 dizzy. Im hopeing to get the exauast back on it tonight and take it for a drive, then take it to the track wed for a few passes.

the distributor is supposed to plug in the coil.

the distributor is supposed to plug in the coil.

OK. The A20 distributor. So this will be left open because the B20A distributor doesn't have a coil plug-in

carotman

well, yes and no. The A20A distributor plugs there because it has the igniter mounted inside it.

The B20A uses an external igniter.

There will be a plug on the external igniter, that plugs in there.
