ok, the instructions on my gun says to maintain a maximum of 10 PSI at nozzle, use a maximum of 21PSI at the inlet...

does that mean use that while im spraying or what?

My guess yes because you need a constant pressure for it to spray evenly.

ok, now is that while your holding down the trigger or is that just when you arent holding the trigger down?

...says maintain, so that means with trigger right. You got one of those low pressure feed guns? Harbor freight?

idk.. ive already sprayed the car.. i used it at the trigger and it came out looking good.. so ill just have to wait for it to completly dry then take it out into the sun and check it..

If the pressure is not constant when you hold down the trigger, the paint will come out in bursts because the variation in pressure. Therefore, the paint will not lay evenly on the body. As long as your air compressor kept the required pressure it should be fine.
