So I'll ask you guys too. Anyone ever taken one of those cheap ass ebay strut bars for a civic or the like and put them up to our shock tower mounts? Most of them have the threads on the end for adjustability, so I don't see why at least one of them out there wouldn't work. I'm gonna start taking all my friends bars and seeing how close they are to mine, Im determined to find some that fit!

i wouldn't mind getting a cheap set to make a better set from, let me know if you find a set that fits.

ebay changed their policy on bidders names. Every bidder remains anonymous to everyone except the seller. I guess it's some sort of privacy thing.

As for the bars, in most cases the cheap metal plates that are stamped for the brackets are so weak, and the aluminum bridge is also so thin that everything flexes to the point that it does basically nothing. If you want one for looks, then go for it, they can look good. ..but if you're going for functionality, I would think twice about it if it were me.

mine's made of solid gold and platinum. ...ok guys, you both got awesome deals, and keep it up and I'll be forced to take them from both of u and put them on my car. I'll do the red one on even months, and the polished on on odd months just for a little variety.

no really though, let's get back on topic of Cody's request.

lol I hate yall with the DC bar!! ;]

I'm gonna cut/weld my own bases for this, I just needed a bar with the threaded b/s and all that + the correct length and height fitment.

I'll let you guys know how it works out and I'll have plenty of pics. TWHONZA didn't complain and it sure looks good on his car.(wonder if it functions as well as it looks?) I'll keep you guys posted.

Do you have to redrill the holes?

Only one hole lines up, you have to bend the base to get it to fit the other/redrill. I'll tell you as soon as I get it thursday. Quick shipping ftw!

Got the bar, doesn't fit. Doesn't even come close.. lol. Shit. Well, I guess its the price I pay for having a car the rest of the population doesn't. I just need to buy Justins bars.

Didn't want to say it before b/c I've been out of the game for a long ass time on these cars, but last I remembered, there wasn't anything that came very close to fitting out-of-box. Justin had actually cut and welded the stamped plates to work for our cars.

don't toss the bar, hold onto it. bring it to a local fabricator and just ask him to cut off the mounting plate and make a new plate that will fit, then weld it all back together. Shouldn't be more then about an hour (maybe 1.5 hrs tops) labor charge plus like $10 for material.

Thats was I was thinking of doing. The bar is contoured just right to clear the mani but it isn't high enough off of the brackets + didn't line up due to the holes being way different. We'll see what I can come up with lol

i thought it was pretty well known at least to me that a cb7 bar fits you just have to cut the bottoms of the mounts off and rotate them... i could have sworn there was a write up for this by justin some time ago before he made his own...?

Why wasn't I informed of this?! lol. Its okay. I'm gonna make my bar work.

Oh and since this is kinda an R&D thread, GSR Integra seats bolt up perfectly on the two front mounts. and the rear just need 2 simple brackets. Im about to get a set of black leather ones off of a friend of mine and do it. They look sick as hell even with the maroon interior like mine. So to any of yall out there wanting to do it, go for it.

There was but since Justin started selling them it kinda got lost in the "shuffle" if you know what I mean.
