I just got a code for a TDC sensor(code 8). I just put in a MSD Blaster 2 yesterday. Does this happen normally, or does the new coil have something to do with it?

Normally no the TDC code is not very common. Not sure how the coil has to do with it but it is sure possible. The TDC sensor are in your distributor housing.
