It's not an accord, but it's still a honda, and a boosted honda at that!

For those of you who remember, I was planning on an H23 Vtec swap, but after hearing horror stories about unresolved axle angles, I decided I wanted to just boost the D series. She isn't tuned yet, but that should come within the next week or two. So this is what i've been up to lately, this project started just barely over a month ago, which includes the wait time I had for parts to ship. SO I think i've done pretty well.

Specs:

D16Y8 -- Stock Internals
ARP Headstuds
Port/Polish by Dustin at Performance Porting
Greddy turbo kit w/ TD04H at 7psi
Hondata S300
AEM wideband O2
DSM 450cc injectors (not installed in the pics)

The car ran perfect before we put in the 450's, just ran really lean not being tuned, and the injectors maxing out quite quickly. Right now the 450's are in and this thing screams compared to what it used to. Granted, it's still not tuned as i'm waiting on the P28 ECU to show up. She runs so rich that the AEM guage is at the lowest setting (10:1 AFR) constantly. Went through a tank of gas in under 100 miles.... :O BUT, she makes some acceptable power.

Let me know what you guys think!

OH, and before i boosted the car, i got it on the dyno. She put down 120whp and 100wtq STOCK. Thought I would add that lol.

Very exciting, its looking great! Hope the internals hold up okay to your turbo job, but then again your only running 7psi. Post some vids if possible, gotta see this animal run :eek5:

Cool, enjoy the full boost! Nowaday people have put down impressive numbers with the dirty d - and run some fast times.

Ahhh the good ole Y8. Thats what I have in my civic too. I hear they hold up pretty good under boost. Did you get the ebay turbo kit? Does Matt still have his civic?

dont push it too hard with out a tune. you can make really good power with a good tune.

The only thing ebay wise on this is the intercooler, piping, and bov. That's basically what i cheaped out on, but the pipes all fit, and they have mushroomed ends with t-bolt clamps, so it's really not that cheap so to speak. It's functional.

I got the P28 in today, and she runs a hella lot better than before. Not tuned yet, the P28 was previously chipped for an H22 lude with a 60 trim turbo on chrome, so she runs rich, but not horribly rich compared to before.

I've been ripping on her a lot last night and today.... but i figure that the timing has been retarded with the p28, and the AFR is never above like 11.5 unless your off the throttle so i figure i'm fairly safe until tuesday in which she should be fully tuned on hondata.
