View Full Version : My trans. oil filler plug is seized!

And I already drained it. Shit! What can I do? Its soaked in anti-seize stuff and theres no room for a cheater bar under there.
pour it down the speed sensor hole?

I got it. Stuck a cheater bar down from the top. Didn't realize I could see it from there :thumbup:

you should always see if you can take the filler plug out before you drain the oil, but its good you got it :)

A chisel on the bolt flange also works well.

I lol'ed too when i read the first post. Always check to see if you can fill it before you drain.

~TDRwhen i saw the title of the thread i thought at first it was our friend on here who likes to run transmissions without oil, then i thought he wouldn't ask,he would drive it empty.

haha yeah thats what i had to do big braker bar plus a a huge pipe and all my weight got that sucker off haha

yeah i used a cheater bar from the top of my engine bay...but my damn dc strut bar was in the way...so i could only do like 2-3 clicks at a time.

Yeah I totally was gonna see if I could get it off first but I was like eh, what the hell I'll just do it and get it out of the way. Its all good though. :)
