idle problem

just wondering if anyone can tell me why when i start my car the idle drops real low,but when i give it some gas it's fine.i did the vacumn removal last year,all i have is the choke left.

How do you have the vaccum advance hoses routed?

only running one hose the neck for the cold start one broke off the dist and i plugged it.the hose goes to the back of the intake through a thermal valve.
