Is it possible for me to put my deck in the lower spot of the SE-i cupholders? Keep in mind I've never seen them in person and mine are still on there way here in the mail. I want to block off my stock DIN area with that sweet honda plate. I know Knarg has a sick setup with his deck but its with a stock EQ so idk.

why don't you get one of the hidden radios they use for hot rods? it has a hidden box, then a remote control for all the stereo functions? then you have the blockoff plate, the cup holders and no one knows where the radio is. :) also if you had a remote cd changer, and a radio with a removable face, use some ribbon cable, mount the face to the center console piece, and the head unit box somewhere else. you will have to remember to bypass the microswitch in the radio, that tells it the face is detached. heres one http://www.retrosoundusa.com/?gclid=CI-u59m6rpQCFQ4RnQodMF_iBQ
another one

here are the dimentions of the second one
Flush Bezel opening requirement is 4-3/8" wide x 1-3/4" high and 11/16" deep

Thats awesome!! I will look into that. Im also thinking of putting my deck somewhere else like the glove box or something.

I need something with a tape player or AUX input though, I use my ipod primarily for audio in my car :)

*edit* Oh that retrosound deal has an aux input! That is awesome.

i have an alpine deck with an ipod dock connector that i keep in the glovebox, it works really well, i would recommmend it if you are going with a new deck

otherwise find something cheap used with a mini-plug aux input

heres an idea.. get a stereo with a detachabl;e faceplace, and some ribbon cable with the same amount of wires that the faceplate has pins, remote mount the fact plate somewwhere and solder the wires on and you can hide the head unit anywhere hahahaha my random idea of the day
