If a no start, check battery voltage engine off. If 10-12 volts showing load test.

If able check battery H2o level (Should be 1/2" - 3/4" from top of opening)

6 cells: 2.1 volts per cell = 12.6 volt battery

With a DVOM set to 40dcv attach leads to battery:
(RED to POSITIVE)
(BLACK TO NEGATIVE)

Have someone watch the DVOM while you attempt to start, if the volts drop below 9.6 volts.

You have a bad battery

Just good info to know.

i use 8v as a limit for cranking volts
best way is to go to your local auto sparky and get a proper load test done
tha loads the batt to half its cca rating for 10 sec or more depending on the operator
and measures the voltage as wel

These are just some useful no start info tips for the DIYer.

Remember that your going to take it in to swap it out anyway.
