I voted for PG but i do have 3 Memphis amps which i like a lot but if i had the money i would go PG because they are great. I got my Memphis amps for cost so it was very cheap.

I have a granite 110 in the accord and a refferance 500 for the civic in the soundstream dept. I am also running a Alpine V-12 inthe accord and have a JBL gtq 200 4 chanel for the civic as well.

Im soo with ya on that one... I love my fosgate to death!!! It hits so hard for a low wattage amp.. I've heard the 1100w one before and it was unbeleveable... I want the metal sliverish 96 version I think it is the really underrated one ... marked as 1000 watts but it pushes like 1200 or something... I never have the money when I see one though....

My vote is for MTX, which IS NOT on the list by the way. They have great power and quality, but come at a very high price. But like I always say, you get what you pay for...Plus all MTX amps come with Date of birth and actual test result so you know exactly how much your amp can push...

I have a rockford amp, never heard an eclipse amp, but JL is nice but....reallllly pricey equipment. As for kicker, i really only like thier subs

Any subs or amps you get should be JL they are probably the best on the market and give the strongest bass i've ever heard

Currently I am running Audiobahn but that is mostly just for the look of it even thought I have no complaints about the performance.
I ran MTX for a long time before that and loved it but I miss my Zapco amps. I'm just not into stereo enough anymore to warrant spending thousands on it when a few hundred dollars will get you 90 percent of the performance.
I'm just going to build a small system for my wagon once I sell the Cadillac. I just bought some 6 inch MB Quart coaxials for the front and some 4 inch for the rear and I plan on getting an Eclipse Titanium 10 for bass. I haven't decided on an amp yet but it will most likely be a five channel, possibly Xtant, unless I can find somebody to trade something smaller for the Audiobahns.

i have to say HIFONICS is my choice. i had a punch 800.2 and it blew up. i had a zapco ag1000 and it also took a dump on me. but my z1000d hifonics doesnt even break a sweat. i ran 6 12's off of it and it shut down after 2 hours of playing them ( the other amps couldnt even hang for half an hour)

right now the best bang for the buck is audiovox! no shit. i was suprised that for $158CAN brand spankin new, its very good 150x2(90x2 rms) it pushes my 2 12" 250w 4ohm subs quite nicely

thats what I am saying... I could care less if it costs more. I'll smoke that Directed amp with a Eclipse any damn day of the week. Being that the 1100d is on ebay for $290 which isnt shit taking into consideration that its a 1100w amp. Usually a good quality 1100w amp sells for around $800+ or so. Ok ... you just got ripped off by whoever your "hook up is" . Try getting an Eclipse amp or fosgate, JL Audio, Kicker, Memphis, Us. Amps, Percision Power... or something that is actually known buy competition users and then you will see what a good amp sounds like. By the way Im sure many of us can afford $290 if thats what you were refering to.

You cant lose with anything Fosgate, but im def a fan of their older amps, i dont like their newer ones as much, the older ones seem to be better built. You cant lose with Autotek, Hifonics, Directed, Memphis, JL, MTX, Kicker, Eclipse, Phoenix Gold, PPi, Orion, Zapco, Cadence, or Soundstream. Ive had bad experiences with MTX subs and know alot of people who have had bad experiences with Audiobahn amps. One kid had one (1800w Class D) and he ran it for an hour and went out the next morning and it blew up. It was a BRAND NEW AMP. That kinda thing is unacceptable, and he had a good install. My other friend had a 1600w Bahn amp (hi current, gold+chrome) and he only had it for about 2 mos before it stopped working. Thats not good either esp when I know a guy whos using my cheapo profile CL-400 amp 2 ohm bridged (min acceptable is 4 ohm when bridged for that amp) and the thing puts out decent power it just gets hot, and hes ran it that way daily for 3 mos without problems. Ive seen Earthquake PH-D2s and they are really nice and efficient but they dont sound all that clean, but they put our nearly 3000 watts rms into a 1 ohm load but they tend to burn up if you do that every day. US Amps are very nice, except they are top of the line competition amps and draw alot of power (not hugely efficent). I personally run a Lanzar Vibe 1200d, which is not the greatest amp either, but it hasnt blown and ive been running it 1 ohm daily for 6 mos now and sounds decent, but Id stay away from any late model Lanzar amp (earlier amps like the original opti series are excellent amps) but the newer ones arent very good. If youre going for SQ then JL audio, Soundstream, PPi and Phoenix Gold are youre best bets.

ive been into car audio stuff for years, everything from SQ to just bein F*&#%$ loud. I swear the older 1100a2 was the best amp fosgate ever made, it dumped out nearly 1400 watts when tested and they sound fantastic, and their build quality is very good. Their non-bd class amps draw alot of current tho. My friend has been running an Earthquake PH-D2 1 ohm (only 2 ohm stable, so earthquake says) for the past 4 mos and he just burned it up badly, looks like he smoked over 10 components (YIKES). Even so im impressed with the power output and the amount of abuse it took before it blew.

i have a radio shack/tandy optimus amp. It puts out 100 watts x 4 channels and 200 watts x 2 channels. I must say for it's age and it's sound quality, and the fact that it only cost me 80 dollars it is a very good deal.

well ive run about everything out there. I dont like favorites but its up with classes, power-zapco, harrison labs. Price-mtx, preference, Im runjning an old school soundstream continuum, reference 644s and a 1000s. A sony xm-7557 (the surfboard that doesnt fit anywhere) gives good overall quailty for a 5channel. Alpine v-12 mrv-307. Ass far as subs go I will only buy jl anymore no W# or W) but W^ which are getting harder to find but I am really looking at the new W& 12 and 13.5. W&s not cheap but have unbelieveably DB, SQ and all for just the 10. It keeps up nicely with my 2 12W6s. W6s only have 300rms the 10W7 is taking most of the 10001 Jl makes. Like the others said, everyone has a preference but you get what you pay for

if u want sick ass bass for super cheap... get a Pyramid PB2400D. its a class D that pushes a claimed 2400 RMS at 1 ohm! my friend had one of these in his van and it rocked... he had it hooked up to one of those UNBLOWABLE JL WTI subs... the ones that can take 5000 watts... anyway... this thang pounded so hard, the sides of the cargo van sucked in and out like 2 inches! it was sick! i know they dont push the rated 2400 RMS, but it is still high! and the nice thing is that they are 220 bux each!

JL stuff is very nice, but there is much better, for, in most cases, much cheaper.

well I wouldnt consider every line of Pionner subs as entry level. A friend of mine let me bridge his 1100 watt fosgate punch amp to my pionners... That shit was glass shattering... and it sounds perfect. I would consider some of the subs that pionner makes as competition capable even. People dont think of them for that type of application but they are damn good quality. I would consider entry level like Jensons or Legacy, lightning audo... shit like that... sorry Im just very proud of my pioneers... :D

i am running 2 pioneer 10's from like 1992 and a cheapo 2.150 planet audio amp. i dont need a ton of bass, so i turn all the settings down, my damn car rattles a lot... i dunno if its good quality, but it sounds fine to me, and its more than loud enough. i paid like $180 for the amp, and the subs i had from when my dad owned the car, so i know nothing about them.

the RUBICON II has to be my favorite of all the amplifiers ever made. Power setup, stabilization, and internal wiring are the most extraordinary parts of this amp (proprietary RUBI and STACT wiring/current topologies), but I also like that it's completely blue! (The amp series won seven awards and also has great reviews everywhere).

Some Orion and PPI amps are good too, but never as good as Soundstream.
