I have an 87 accord LX-i and I know its supposed to use the old r-12. But the question is how much does it take? I've got a buddy thats used this stuff called Freeze-12 in his car, but its a 86 ford pos. I just need to know how much of the original r-12 it needs, so I can do the conversion to know how much to put in.

thanks

You need to go here and read a little. As with most replacement refrigerants this is not a 1 to 1 replacement of R-12. In fact, you will probably use significantly less Freeze 12 than R-12.

I think a full charge of R12 is 28 Oz

My friend put Freeze-12 into his 86' which had some R-12 in there. The A/C stopped working. Then, I read on the can that all pre-existing refrigerant has to be evacuated prior to using Freeze-12.
