If you don't have A/C, you'll be fine. If you do have A/C, then you should go to a Junkyard to get that peice.

Read the post in the link I posted. There is a good explaination of how to do it.

If you don't have emmsions, you should opt to rip all the emmision crap outta there!

This is how mine was before the Weber:

The Mechanical secondary is one of the easiest things you can do for a great "performance" gain.

i wish there was pictures.

i want to get as much "cheap" power out of the turd as possible before i do a b16 swap.

There is a whole list of cheap tricks.

But on topic; I thought I would need pictures, but after you are done your say "Ah, hell, I didn't need pictures."

Remove the black box completely.
Remove every vacuum line under the hood!
TAKE YOUR CARBURATOR OFF! I did mine without taking the carb off and it was a PITA. Then I had to take it off anyway to adjust the A/F mixture.

This is cake work compared to a B16 swap, so challenge yourself and do it blind-folded! I could do it.

Another bonus is that it takes about 11 minutes to take your alternator out, instead of 45...

i dunno., if you do it right according to the how-to it shouldnt, i just removed everything i thought wasnt needed & added mechanical secondary, maybe my timing was way out lol. it onoly caught fire when it was starving for power, and you gave it full throttle from about 1000rpm

Mine never caught on fire, and it it does, you are either way to advanced, or way too rich.

It's Baby Jesus... lol... That reminds me of a story...

I was putting a clutch in my brothers' Samurai. I got the flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate on, so it was time for the Tranny. Well, I didn't drain the gear oil, so that trans was a good 150lbs, and at the angle we were at, it was hard to line up.
So, we are lining the tranny up, and its NOT going in! We were grunting and grouning and I yelled "Help me, Tom Cruise!!"

Needless to say, the tranny dropped and everyone in the garage was dying laughing. I can still to this day say that and my brother laughs pretty hard.

You backfired out the carb? I'm pretty sure I only did that with an overly rich mix on the Weber plus the increased duration from a cam grind.
