This is impressive looking. I imagine you could stop from 150mph without any fade with a setup like this...

Found it on Honda-Tech and though I'd share. Seems to have a 5 lug conversion as well, so probably some Integra or newer Civic spindles on it. Wonder if the rear was converted as well...

So many things running through my head...

1) Better have at least 245s on the front to actually take advantage of that stopping power
2) I wanna see the rear brakes
3) I wanna see the master cyl and the proportioning valve
4) I want someone to fess up to photoshop since there's no way in freakin hell a 3g needs that kind of braking.
5) And no, you can't do that to your car (not you john, just generally here)

I really don't think it's a photoshop. But I do agree, probably stock M/C, proportioning valve, and 4 lug hubs on the rear still. But it looks pretty bitchen

does anybody else notice how similar the brakes on that vette and civic are? The calipers, and rotors look exactly the same. lol

also there are alot of domestics(chevy, dodge) behind that jdm 3g lol is it in the states or actually a jdm accord the fixed headlights are throwing me off

The guy is in Thailand. That's probably a euro model Accord. The C6 Vette back there has stock brakes, and they're definitely not Brembos.

I don't think you can run wider than 225s on the 3rd gen accord. ? Just from looking at how mine is with the 205s. Who knows. 245s would be awesome.

well with a 5 lug conversion i would do some fender flares and you could run anything lol

The stock C6 doesn't have Lingenfelter brakes. Those are not Brembos, I've seen lots of C6 Corvettes. The 6 piston calipers are definitely not Brembo brakes. In fact, a lot of people say that even with the big 6 piston calipers, the brakes aren't as good on the C6 as the C5s were with 2 piston calipers. These are C6 calipers that you see on that white car:

Now that I look at it, maybe those were upgraded too.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying, with brakes like that, tinyass 195s or 205s are absolutely useless.

lol i didnt see the mirrors before either.

i believe the mirrors are for the 90-93 accords. They fit but the bolt holes dont line up so you have to reem out some holes an drill another i think. I want to say that pic is a few years old. He bolted them up to see if they could bolt up but never did anything with them on the road. It is a post on the board someplace.

the willwood 12.25s are probably the biggest unless you do the aem civic upgrade then you can run the 12 inch kit and upgrade the 13 inch rotors. Good luck with that though.

talk about locking your wheels up if the rest of the system is stock

wow, that is some major stopping power..

the aftermarket tow hook on the front does scare me tho. IF that's not just another decoration to compliment the fogs, chrome b-pillar door trim, aftermarket side-views, etc, that's one hell of a sleeper with some serious stopping power.

well you can see that it's not A-powered

based on the short shaft on the side we can see?

Looks like a bone-stock rad tho, and the black door handles lead me to believe it to be originally a DX (or it's EURO equivalent).

yeeah, but then again it might just be a b20. i don't think the black door handles necceserily(spelling fail) means it's a euro dx/lx (or whatever they called them over there lol) cause if you look at thegreatdanes car (in its before state) it had black door handles. I also wouldn't think it's a base model either cause it has a chrome trim along the side mouldings

you would think that the lift arm would be under the car at the correct lifting point, but noooooo itzzzz levitated by majic gigantic caliper support brackets. And majic sodium tungsten shop lights that look like florescent tube lights in reflections.
sorry Im skeptical on this one, and what would be the point with brakes that big on a 2000 lb fwd car, I can see the rear end lifting up off the ground looking like one of those rat dogs draggin it's but on the carpet.

My euro B20 has black door handles. But I'm thinking that one is JDM because of the corner lights. EDM ones don't have those. (might just be a euro one with the corners swapped too)

i'm gonna say it's a euro one with jdm corners, mainly cause jdm fixed headlight ones didn't come in pre-facelift :D

Yeah... I thought I pasted it in my original post, but I guess not:

Dude says there's an H22A in there, but wouldn't answer any of my questions about the spindle swap, nor will he post more pictures...

Ok I see the lift arm in the HT photo, my bad
i guess the lights reflecting in the fender could be from closed bay door windows.. one more thing ...the axle shaft thickness.

2ndGenGuy
07-30-2008, 12:20 PM
Eh I wouldn't go off axle shaft thickness. My 84 had some huge fucking 2 inch thick axles in it when I got it. Turns out they were just hollow. I wound up replacing them with solid body axles that were about 1/2 as thick. Also could be made out of some exotic material... though I doubt it lol.

Not from a fade standpoint. I can easily lock and unlock my 205 kumhos with my foot, and all I have is the 88/89 disks with ebc yellow pads. But I suspect if I got the car up to 130 or so and tried to do multiple stops from that speed, like if I were on some type of road course, that would overwhelm that setup pretty quickly.
When Ever the fuck I get my car running with boost again, I'll be rolling on 205 drag radials. Those tires are really sticky, that would make big brakes like those pictured more useful too.

I've managed 120mph with my 86hp engine. Imagine what it will do with the B20A. Maybe 130...
