well in the time i havent been posting i have been working hard n working on my car.
everytime i get something fixed, something else wants to break.

i got the new radiator in, ran great for about a month. then the fuel pump decided to go. replaced the fuel pump. ran great for 2 weeks.

now all of a sudden, im driving and my radio turns itself off and my dash lights and driving lights get dim. i stop to get some cigarettes and hop back in the car, go to crank her up and, what'dya know, it winds for maybe 2 seconds and nothing. i thought "shit, maybe my battery?" then when does a battery just GO DEAD. so i think maybe my alternator?

also i heard a chirping noise before it did this, so maybe it was the alternator belt?

any ideas??

check the alt belt tension.
that chirping is prob the belt slipping
then once is going do a quick charge voltage test
should charge at around 14 volts, any more than 15 and the reg i prob stuffed
any less than 12.5/13 and it prob got stuffed brushes or a burned winding
if its charging good and it still miss behaves
go get an auto sparky to do a proper load test on the batt and check the charge amperage
rate and go from there

might check your grounds and terminals too...
