just came in at my yard told them not to crush it till i'm done with it. it's pretty minty on the out side( it really looks better than the pic's) the interior however looks almost like someone had a knife fight with the car and won. the car is completely intack and was drove to the yard, not sure why though. if any one wants any thing i'll grab it

How bad are those front seats? I really need a set of original 1g front seats, the 2g seats in mine are driving me insane. Would you be willing to snag them and ship them, and how much do you think that would cost? If you unbolt the seat rails, and unbolt the tops from the seatbottoms, they actually pack up pretty easy. I know you said they're hammered, but I'd get them recovered if the foam isn't all crushed and destroyed.

Anybody know if the seats in the 79 will fit in an 81? I heard about small differences in the seat rails. Anbody know if theres a difference between the hatch and sedan seats?

Also, moved this to the 1gee section. :D

Seat frames must have been different 79-81 with all the changes they made to the floor, The '79 hatch seats frames already fit very close (only just room for sliders) to the floor transverse member that was noticably raised for '81...

P.S Since I currently have another set of 1st gen integra seats apart to attempt redye/paint operation I'm contemplating removing some of the seat cushion foam from to try sitting deeper in the seat, (more for location than height requirements though).

oh it's a first gen eh? if i come up with some cash soon imight just have another project. then i'd have a 1st 3rd and 5th gen in my drive.
I'll try to get pics of the seats but they looked pretty bad to me.
oh and this guy's yard is less than a mile from my liqour store, i see at least on of his employees everyday. it's how i found my rims and my"newest" tranny. he had crushed all his hondas the year previously. this is the first i've seen since then.

OMFG they DROVE it to a junkyard? does not compute. save it anyway! you can remove internal walls form your house and sell them, open plan is veeery fashionable :)

about the seats, i fitted an '81 sedan seat to my early model hatch and its about an inch narrower at the runners. i dont know if the '81 hatch and sedan have the same gauge seat runners, it would make sense that they do though, so you might need to do some shade tree engineering like mine:

That looks like about what I did to get the 84 seats into my 81. I slotted the holes, and put a 1 inch spacer in behind them. Kinda like that! Pretty good stuff.
