I did and I've had it now for almost 7years, it's starting to develop a leak and the jack sinks every now and then, but after having it this long I'd say it has done it's job perfectly

Yeah it's not that it literally drops, it just comes down really fast. You can get it to come down slowly, but you have to twist is oh-so-carefully, it kinda gets sticky. My Mac jack I have now (have them both now) has the one pump to load which rocks, but also it's not as sensitive or sticky when you're letting the car down.

Nice, looks like a good meet. You guys got farther than me with the header. I could not, for the life of me, get the damn cat bolts to budge, and this is after using PB blaster, WD 40, vice grips, a breaker bar, running the car and then repeating the process. I'm gonna have to take it in and get it done by a shop.

That is one beautiful 2g if i must say. Also, its unbelievable how clean that stock 89 lxi is. Hope you enjoy your new mods Frantik.

to get the cat bolts we used pb blaster then 84 accord put his foot against the downpipe and I pushed the ratchet with my foot while doing a pushup underneath the car lol

i'm enjoying the sway bars but i think the sensors are switched on the header cause it's kinda funky as described in this thread: http://www.3geez.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38375&highlight=header+3500.. above 3500rpm the header pwns but below 3500 it bogs like a mofo

the sway bars are tight though now the freeway is like a playground i never have to slow down for turns lol

See that's some good teamwork right there lol. I tried kicking it myself, and it seems like I need somebody to hold the pipe like you had, since my flex pipe allows so much movement.

My dad wants nothing to do with the header since he thinks I'm going to strip a bolt, etc. He's thinking back to the old times when he put headers on his old mustangs and capri's.

Thanks man. I'm going to give that a try before I spend more money than i have too. I was debating just buying a new cat and cutting that bolt off, since I know I can get the bolts off the other side.

$180 was the quote I got from two different exhaust shops. And that not including the extra labor if a bolt snaps or something.

if you get a new cat dont forget to get bolts, since the aftermaket one I've seen dont have the bolts welded to them like the OEM one

this is how i got my cat off
unhooked all hangers
unbolted down pipe from mani
pulled the whole exhuast out from under the car
had my step dad stand on the pip and i used a breaker bar and stood on the breaker bar and it worked great

on my old exhuast system that was really badly rusted i just sawed all the bolts off

well the engine light comes on after 10-20 minutes of driving and throws the ECU code 01 which is main O2 sensor. I unplugged the sensor and the car seems to run fine now so hopefully i just need to replace it cause pico said it could be running rich without the sensor

i was thinking maybe the sensors were screwed into the wrong places but i think replacing the sensor should be done first. are the two sensors identical? they have different numbers on the plugs so i would guess not but can they be plugged into the opposite plugs instead of unscrewing them? I was going to try and swap them but the engine was too hot and i burned myself too many times trying to get the green one to want to keep trying lol. luckily it seems totally fine without the white one connected

oh man im gonna get in trouble with my new mods lol i was jammin on the freeway and look down and im doing 110 :omg: the car likes to go at least 90 in 5th lol.. need to put on the cam gear and move the torque down a bit so i can cruise at lower speeds and still have power in 5th.

it was good that we upgraded the suspension at the same time cause they really compliment each other.. i can go faster and the car handles better at higher speeds so i can appreciate them both.

sway bars are great too they really kill a lot of the harsh ride i used to get and make the car handle so much better. when i change lanes quickly the car just moves over without dipping even the slightest. i was keeping up with a mercedes sports car last night it was tight
