Depends on which engine you get the alt. from. The 1.8L Prelude engines use a different alternator than the 2.0L Prelude engines. The 1.8L alt. uses a V belt and the bracket is different. I am currently running a 1.8L alt. with the flat multigroove belt but I had to mix and match parts and make a custom spacer/sleeve to get the pulley to fit and still have the belts line up correctly.

The short answer is that it is possible, but it's probably more trouble than it's worth. Just get another Accord alternator. They're easier to find anyway.

maybe easy to find where you live but here they are hard to find.most older cars get crushed around here.

Oh I see. You're in Nova Scotia. I would send you one but it would probably cost more for shipping than what you could get a new one for. The biggest problem is that the shafts are different sizes, so you need a sleeve to make the flat belt pulley fit the Prelude alternator. You would also need to use the mounting brackets from the Prelude.

remmeber the prelude alternator is externally regulated on the carb models!!! probably wont work.

we converted a prelude to a internal reg alt cause we couldnt find a lude alt that works
