Transmission rebuild kits

Anyone have any recomendations or experience with transmission rebuild kits. Any brands to stay away from or any particular brand thats good?

I have yet to purchase one myself. Everytime Ive looked at majestic or local parts stores, the prices scares me off.

You ever think about grabbing parts from j/y trannies? From my past experiences more than half are in good condition for parts.

Im going to need a rebuild to..I got a spare tranny but the sycn rolls are shot...yeah those bitches are pricey when it comes to rebuild kits

The only other transmission they had at the j/y had 255k on it, there was a 2nd gen accord with a manual tranny that had ~70k on it but i didn't want to pull the tranny and not be able to use it.
