Yeah, that be my "new" ride. Its rusted (cause of 21 years of Quebec winters), but it runs nice (In Grand Honda Tradition) and is quite a nice ride!

Under-Hood pics will follow when i clean under there. Its prety nasty.

Car is a 1987 EX-i, and from what i can tell the first (of 3, including myself) owner had it pretty pimping.. fully changed sterio. He left the sub wires there, but no power going to em - fuse is in the drivers side door slot. You can see the after market sterio there too, from like the 1990s.. Cassette jack goes to my MP3/CD player.

Well, my guess is it hasnt been maintained for a couple years prolly, besides oil changes.

Found out today my rack 'n' pinion is leaking, so's the oil pan. Gunna have to replace bolth, most likely. Aswell as, im sure you guys know, the bearings arent in great shape up front.

I'd like the car in black, with the black interior. The fabric part on the door would be white.
Black rims, wether steelies or spokes, the spoke rims would have chrome around the rim. Not sure what spoke layout i would get.

That, though, will wait. Gotta fix the rust, clean the whole car, and do belts/fix leaks.

Welcome to the forum! That rust only looks like surface rust. Just take some medium to fine grit sandpaper to it and spray it down with rust converter and you'll be set for a while :)

bullard, this is not surface rust but the car seems to be well preserved for it's age (and being in Canada). The rear fenders will need a replacement arch but that's about it. The rest should be fine with what bullard said :D

Im in North-East Montreal. Also, i took the caps off myself, never realy liked hubcaps.. Im planning on getting new rims and tires for the summer. Prolly 14"s? Im rollin on the 13" ones atm. Oh, how much do those H logos go for the center of the rim? I found a set of Civic wheels at a flee market for 90$ (all 4) and they had the H logo's on em. Guy wouldnt sell me just the logos, so im wonderin where i can pick some up. I like the look they give.

Also, as for getting rims bigger then 13", im sure all you guys have done it..lol, but what effect do you think it has on them alredy not-so-great bearings? Also, are they tapered, or must one replace the whole damned hub to get new bearings?

Any Junkyard should carry old Civic Wheels. I think "Nord-Sud" (http://www.nord-sud.ca/contactus.htm) should have them. If not, I know Chassel (http://www.automobileschassel.com/) Has them. It's a Honda only junkyard.

Last time I went there, they had an 87 LX sitting in the yard. You might be able to get some parts from it. It looked in bad shape tough.

Which bearings are shot? the front or the rear?

Front bearings, as far as i know. It dosnt realy show though, so i doubt if its a big issue at the moment. Though wether or not they're tapered makes a diffrence, 'cause if they are im gunna take em out and service them.

Im going to need to cut and weld. Its the only way to do it right... Thankfully i like welding lol.
Im planning on going to work in a shop, owned by someone i know, so itll be good.

The rust on the back fenders is liquid. Its rather uncool. Not sure how long its been going on for, but its prety finished under the paint... im gunna redo it asap.

Update. Nothing huge, but i gave the car an out and inside clean. theres still durt in the carpets inside but the outside is prety damn clean.
