Well basically after my Weber install my car has been running fine untill a week ago when I was going to richmond and pick up my new SEI... after 35 miles or so my carb started backfiring when hitting the 3000 rpm in 5th gear!!! I really don't if it's a timing issue or not... im going head and changing the timing belt and water pump... since I have no clue if they have ever been changed. Also i noticed one the screw in bracket on the distributor is missing... maybe that may be the issue... have no clue that is why im asking the pros... my cat is about a year old so I doubt thats the issue... and my EGR is bad so its currently not connected!!! if someone knows or has had this issue with their weber carb swap... please give me some advice... or anybody that has an idea why this is happening??? SOME1 PLEASE HELP ME!!!

I think its the timing. Get a timing light and check.

Check your timing advance vac hose.

Another problem with the weber is that the float valve that is screwed into the top hat can come loose and will rest on the float needle... this can cause fuel problems.
