SEI Steering Wheel Audio Controls

Alright was looking a for a post about SEI audio controls... I didn't see if anyone has been able to use the SEI steering remote with an aftermarket headunit... I saw some1 post to look for and SWI-X adapter but I would like to know if there is one made for the SEI???

I spoke once with Crutchfield about this. They have an adapter which costs extra to the new head unit. It has a little infrared output which snakes out and points at the remote sensor in the head unit. You can therefore program the SE-i steering wheel buttons to do anything available on the adaptor. I never went through with it, but the Crutchfield guy said they sell them every day.
