Well last week my parents decided to trade in the 07 accord they had leased along with the 3gee. My dad ended up with an 07 ridgeline and my mom got an 04 CR-v. I'm now driving a 92 civic 4dr. I like the civic but will miss the 3gee though it needed alot more work then it was worth and would have been a hard sale at $500 which is how much the dealership gave for the trade in. The guys were amazed the car had been driven for as long as it had. It was the first 300k+ honda they had seen. I'll post some pics later when I wash it.

Sorry it had to go, but I hope the civic treats you well!

The civic needs some work but should be a great car for me. I found a set of the 13 inch alloy wheels off a 3gee, painted them silver and have those on the civic. I like them because you can't see the rear drum brakes. It needs a lot of body work and paint but should look nice when it is finished. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

My parents bought it for $1k which is about what blue book on it. It was our neighbors car but they had to move and couldn't keep it. It has 163k on it. I'm enjoying driving it as it is a 5spd. The muffler had been knocked off at some point so my parents went to get a muffler at autozone but they wanted $175 so my mom noticed the $20 cherry bomb glasspacks. It sounds surprisingly good.

Here is a few pics. Still needs to be washed and needs a little tlc. The fender was damaged when we got it.

Look familiar? The best thing is tires are cheap.

The wood brace is temporary until I finish what I have planned in the trunk.

The subs are 12in Lightning audio single 4 ohm subs I got at walmart discounted to $30 each. I built the boxes my self.

It hits loud enough for me though I need to work out some of the rattles.

sorry for the following negatives bud
That dealership, obviousley knows shknit about Hondas. The same place, GJ right... tryed to buck me out of my 94 civic for 500 too, I told them very politely to buck themselves. I still did business, that is where I got the F150, over on the volvo side. ( I sold it the next day for 800, needed rings)
Your folks will be disappointed with the MPG on both of those Hondas. My mom has an 08, tops MPG is 23. Buck it my big ole Ford gets 20 and much more vehicle. The ridgeline never quite cut it and they know it, the first ownership cost is ridiculous. You gave away the 3gee Accord for basically nothing, seriousley.. it is just like UNO .. stacking up car(ds) on you. I thought you were going to offer it up first???? I need another one for wifey.
No way it was not worth fixing, these old cars have gone up in value 40 percent, where it was worth 800 last year, it is worth 1800 now. I wish I could prove that, putting it in the Iwanta.. if you are a regular Iwanta fan you would see there have not been any early models in there since three months ago when I missed out on and Lxi by five minutes. Any old Honda in driveable conditino is bringing 1000 even with issues.
Well, at least you still have one.. see ya later... I owe you a ride asap I get finished with the car.:D

My parents wouldn't let me put any money into the accord other than keep it just above the brink of car death. I miss the car and will buy a 3gee when I'm done with collage. The main reason I was okay with this was my parents were getting out of being quite upside-down on the 07 accord lease and get them two reliable cars. They also agreed to help pay for the work I want to do on the civic. They aren't too concerned about the gas mileage of the new cars. Though I love the 26+ mpg I'm getting in the civic before I did the tune up. This was a quick decision one night. They called me after work and told me to bring the accord down the GJ. I didn't have a chance to put it up for sale as my mom was driving it to work because we didn't have a have another car.

gots to do what ya gots to do.. I guess.
Well Im glad yaw's car sitcheashun is scraite now, and hey those wheels look pretty good on there, a little 3geez going on for nostalgia ehh.. :D

question, do you have to run the gain way down with those subs facing each other like that? seems like the reflex would 10 fold your feedback , just curious about that. The physics of it to me seems like the waves coming off one would be pushing down on the voice coil of the other a lot more than just the normal pressure of having another sub in the same confinment.

The subs seem to work fine and the setup seems to funnel the bass into the car. These subs are rated for 150 rms so they aren't anything ground shaking. This box lay out was the only setup that was reasonable to get more than a cubic foot per sub without killing my whole trunk space.

The cherry bomb sounds decent with the stock piping. We just needed something that would be better than a straight pipe and didn't cost $175. It was my mom who picked it out not me. I don't want to spend $500 on headers and exhaust for a d15. I just don't see the point as it burns a little bit of oil. I got a decent sounding exhaust for $20 plus hardware and put a nice 3 in oval tip. I don't like how fart cans sit under the car anyways. Well I need to replace the drive belts soon as the alt belt is slipping. I already changed the oil and replaced the radiator last weekend.
