will 4th gen calipers(still in the mounting bracket), rotors, and pad fit on a 3rd gen?

Only the wagon calipers would be considered an upgrade other wise the rotor size is the same as our Lxi cars fronts. Pretty sure the calipers and brackets would bolt up but the spacing to the rotor might be incorrect.

you can use www.rockauto.com to compare the parts.

i know about the wagon calipers being an upgrade, but, im awash in 4th gens but no wagons, and calipers froze(yes, both at once within five minutes of each other) on my 3rd gen and im completly broke and was wondering everything i would need to possibly use the 4th gen brakes rotors an calipers. i know that the calipers are different and that the rotors are a little bigger, but i dont know where to go from there.

Aren't the rotors pressed on on the 4th gen? Have you tried rebuilding the caliper? Can you locate some calipers at the junkyard from a 3rd gen?

I no what the other sites say but the rotor is pressed on. In fact his own picture says its press on. Those type rotors wont work on our cars. 3gen the rotor is over the hub/bearing it just floats there.

Pretty sure the normal 4th gen caliper will bolt on to our bracket. But I think you will be the first to try! Let us no.

there even a different lug pattern so in order to use the disks u would need to change the whole hub and spindle and front rims

He is right. The 4th Gen bolt pattern is 4x114( correct me if I am wrong) and the 3rd Gen is 4x100.
