diy clear corners?

i read somewhere that on our corners the orange reflector comes out.. the thread went dead and i wanted to confirm this.. i looked and found nothing on it.. is it possible to remove the orange part of the corners?.. thanks guys

u have to cut it out and then glue in a peace of lexen or plexi
it only works on the 88-89 corner lights tho

dang i got an 87.. but you know what i mean right? not the bumper lights.. the fender corners.. if its not possible on mine can i just swap out my bumper lights for ones from an 88-89?

thats exactly the ones i want haha.. but i read somewhere that you can open up the casing and remove the orange.. i dont know if thats quite true because i looked at mine and i dont see how the orange part comes out.. but its good to know that aftermarket side markers are still made

ill take chances at the junk yard.. if not then ill hit up ebay and see if im lucky.. btw.. off topic.. my left rear window goes down but not up.. switch or wiring? and sometimes when the doors open all the way it goes up.. soooo confusing

i would not count on finding them in a jy lol

but most will never find them lol

i can make it go down from the master control but also it wont go up from the master control.. so im thinking mastersontrol?

hmm.. i guess my option is to save money or just stick with the oldschool corners and bumper lenses... on my corners i just took out the signal bulb and replaced the front white one with a blue bulb.. looks pretty good at night

ignore the rust and broken lens... took care of the rust but lens is still broken.. and the orange part.. i took the bulb out... so its just the blue

got it... see it doesnt look massively blue.. just a nice shade of it.. looks nice from far away especially with lightly tinted blue fogs and headlights

ps ignore the right side of the pic... i know the lights dim.. its got a ground problem somewhere.. i gotta find it... AND the blue coming from inside the car.. i had to use a replacement bulb til i got the original dome light (hard to find)

true yeah i like oem ones and clear it all depends on the color of the car really i know i love clear ones on black cars but prefer smoked oem ones on white cars :)

OE corners are definitely better. Clear stuff immediately sets off the ricer alert.

If you want a really tight set of corners, look into the JDM ones. They look bad ass.

well straiter lol was 100% but no were near as off as on the 87 lol

check to see if your hinges arent being held by a bolt or something.. happened to me and my hood was off by like half inch.. fucken little screw was under the hinge keeping it from closing making the whole thing lift up half inch

they dont do that anymore.. i have to take in the alt to get it load tested.. sucks man.. i was about to get it checked out then when the time came to do it.. they told me they didnt do it anymore.. think kragen does it?

i changed the radiator one.. it was in bad shape.. the one going from the battery right? if so then ill check it out tomorrow... hey btw.. is the batt ground supposed to go to the frame or trans? mines on the frame but its in horrible shape..

I'd just replace them all, you can get ground kits off ebay cheap
or just replace with like 8 gauge or bigger

yeah i got some 8 gauge laying around... but where should the battery ground go? frame or trans? cuz when i did the engine swap.. i couldnt remember if the batt ground was on the trans or the frame

its on top of the trans i belive just follow the main ground

the only thing i see is the ground from the battery and that ones going to the frame.. nothing else on the trans besides the (+) for the starter

On mine there was a ground from the trans to the frame, I cant remember if it was part of the ground wire to the battery since my battery is now in the trunk.
but there is definitely a gounding point on the trans.

alright guys... changed the grounds.. found some 8 gauge wire and ran one to the trans and one to the frame.. starts alot better but the dimming still continues... next guess is the alternator
