My paint is pealing on my window trim, it has exposed shiney chrome undernieth,so i peeled off loose pieces and am using paint stripper to lift the rest. Anyone else seen this?:bandit: :bandit: :bandit:

mine must be more beat up then yours its not even bonded to the chrome its connected in little thick peice on the sides . The paint thinner wont help. The only way i can get it of is to take a pair of pliers to those peices and RIP them out. Thanks for the info though

Same here. Everytime I wash my car I pull more and more off. Paint thinner isn't going to do anything. On mine its is only connected at the bottom of the strip. 4 to 5 inch peices just flake off when washing. I think paint thinner may tarnish it. Its also happening to the back window on the top. That part looks like shit.

I would just paint it black or use some black-out tape as another member suggested a while back. If not, you will end up with some chrome stuff and some blac stuff. Parts of the trim are either black plastic or painted so even if you get all the rubberized coating peeled off it will still look funky.
