This one i picked up from a guy for $300. he said the bottom end was going. i got it to find the oil was half water and the head gasket severely blown. it runs. only knocks cause of the lack of oil i think. anyways on with the pics

Okay have done some work on the front end, the right front corner had been in a crash, the bumpers been replaced and some cheap as lights installed. the popup unit was bent and same with the little bracket that holds the corner light onto the fender. the fender was also bent. i spent some time straightening it out, replaced the popup unit from one from a parts car and managed to get it looking 80%.
Alaso converted the front end to facelift. just need to install the indicators now...

Lol i recon. the b18a was SO GAY. the head totally refused to come off no matter what i did, and it can get fucked if im going to remove the carb manifold of the head 1st so i just got in there with a big far crowbar and off it came, saw what i wanted to see, a new gasket wouldnt fix the head as it looks like its warped So this is what i did.....

deciding whether to find a a20a carb and keep the car carb or convert it to EFI, hence the thread in general asking what the car will run like with a EFI fuel pump in the carb tank.
how about this for a great deal, ill give you a a20a carb + a automatic gearbox in exchange for the b2k5 gearbox there!

righto got shitloads done today as you have just seen. swapped fuel tanksd, got an efi accord loom and stripped the pgmfi section out of it, installed it in the car, dodgyed up the fuel lines and it works!!!!!!1one
connected the ecuconstant power to the central locking and ran the pgmfi light wire over to the catalic converter box so the cat light is now the pgmfi light :)

I don't understand that NZ slang, I guess I would have to hear it pronounced..
anyway that exhaust manifold reminds me of a Prelude, it looks like it would flow good with a little smoothing out inside the ports you would not need a tube header. Is that one different than your typical B20?
looks like a standard one to me

rangi and hory are just sayin its slapped together so it works
dont have to look pretty or last, as long as it works
have been told by a few exhaust places that honda ex manifolds flow pretty well.
so well that unless you are going to mod the engine a bit there is no real need to use headers, just a cat back
but headers look far cooler and i'm modding so am using
AccordB20A

All b20a have the same cast iron intake manifold and yes that is right they do flow very good. but yes headers are pretty lol and if your like me and want to change your powerband, custom length headers can help.
But ill only use thwe h22 ones on my car cause they only need a bit of port matching and they are WAYY lighter than the OEM cast ones

Made a lot of progress today
Started off by installing a fuel filter as it didnt have one before, installed an external fuel pump in the engine bay so i didnt have to risk running high pressure dangerously from the back. Im using the evap line for the return line and it works like a charm, fired up this morning took it for a blat and it pulls good. very equal in speed to my car. cruise control works good too, I stuck a shitty tape player in it too. I installed an alarm and a good battery and now its on trademe. tomorrow i will clean the interior and maybe get it a wof and then get some cash if i find a buyer
