my wrecked honda accord is just sitting there, so id figure id take out the cd player and other stuff i could probably sell, give away, etc.
i have some jensen cd player that came with the car, and im trying to figure out how to remove it. so far ive been able to remove the ash tray, and the metal cover under the deck. of course, from there i cant figure it out.
any thoughts on how to get this thing out?

Its the same as taking out the old stock headunit.
However, it does depend on how it was installed.
I'm thinking, get your head near the pedals and have a look and a feel around for two screws, which screw into a metal plate.
If they're not there, try pushing the headunit out from the back.
If they are there, take them out and then try pushing...

If you've still got problems, try again some other way?

i have seen a lot of diff HU and most of them come with keys.
when you slide HU into the metal case there should be like locks, you can take the HU out with keys that should come with radio.
if you didn't have that you should be able to pull it out.

Yes, you will have to have the keys. I believe on a Jensen they slide in on either side. Take the trim ring off of the radio and look for two places to slide something in on the sides. If there are two places (one on each side) find something that will fit, slide it in, and see if the radio will pull out.
