(thanks guys for the advice on the PS problems I'm having - when I figure out whats up I'll let yall know....)

Next question - I see this button labeled 'cruise control' on the dash above the fuse cover. There are also some buttons on the steering wheel. The buttons on the steering wheel actually work and the cruise works fine but the button on the dash above the fuses seems to do nothing.

What is that button and what should it do?

Is there an electronic copy of the 'owners manual' for this anywhere? I have found (due to these excellent forums) a copy of the shop manual already.

if so it will turn off the cruise control, so the wheel buttons wont engage cruise.

if not no idea

When pushed in it activates the cruise control (green illumination), the steering wheel controls actually control the cruise control.

Hm - the light never lights, and the cruise is working...

If I've got the cruise on and set to say, 50 MPH, nothing changes if I hit the cruise button in that photo.

I guess either the wiring is open (e.g. wont toggle) or the switch is locked closed or something. I guess "if it works, dont fix it" is what I'm going to do.

Thanks!

Just be careful. When my button stopped lighting up the cruise would work but would not release! It kept my RPM's around 3k. I had to unplug the vacuum line to the cruise actuator.

My button only lights up when it feels like it(which is very rarely), and I have no issues. I just drove from TX to CA using c/c almost the entire way and nothing failed so I think you're good.

Mine's not working either, but it's stuck in the 'on' position so my cruise works fine ;)
