I have needed to replace the pcv valve on my 88 lx, but I cannot seem to get the little bugger out. Is there some sort of special way to remove it? I thought it would just pull out, but I cannot seem to get it to budge, only turn. I am afraid of using too much force, and break it off in the engine.

those get cooked on pretty good sometimes, it is rubber to metal to plastic, the plastic part will crumble up sometimes. Just examine it good for the seams and take it apart carefully. On one of mine I wound up trimming the plasitc broke off stuff , preserving the best part to house the valve, then I used an 80's Mopar v8 heater bypass hose to connect that to the black oil separater box then a 7/16 fuel hose I think to attach the vacuum to the actual valve. The Mopar hose fits the box perfectly and gives it an angle that makes the whole thing easier to deal with later.
